Print on Demand (POD)

five minutes and you're done.

Step 1: Prep your images
Using your graphics program of choice, prep your images for print at 254 dpi. Our printers are callibrated to the Adobe RGB 1998 color profile, so to ensure Creating a new POD canvasthat what you print matches what you see on your screen, we recommend setting your monitor to the same profile. Not sure what that means? Click here to learn more.

Step 2: Choose a canvas size
Our POD service is available in six preset canvas sizes (12x30, 18x30, 24x30, 30x30, 30x42, and 30x49). How many images you want to print within those boundries is up to you. For instance, you can fit three 8x10 photos on a 12x30 canvas or 12 8x10s on a 30x42. Want 5x7's? You can fit 36 of them on a 30x42 canvas... or you can print one single large format photo. With POD, you choose how to utilize your canvas.

We recommend Photoshop, but you can do this step in your graphics program of choice. First, create a new document at 254 dpi with the height and width matching your canvas size of choice. Next, either drag or copy your images from the source file into your new canvas document. Finally, line the images up in a row to make cutting easier.

Step 4: Save and upload
Save your file as a flattened TIFF with the layers discarded. For help with this, please view the second video on the right.

Finally, upload your images to our FTP server and we will take care of the rest.

Using Adobe 1998 to Ensure Your Photo Print Correctly

• For soft-proofing purposes, you may wish to download the Polielletronica ICC profile.

• We also suggest that your monitor be calibrated to Adobe RGB 1998 (most monitors are). To see how your monitor compares to our printer, we will gladly supply you with our print of a Macbeth Calibration chart for you to use. If you already have your chart from Dickerman Prints, click here to compare it to a screen image.

To learn more, please visit our Macbeth Calibration chart page.

Adobe also has a great document on how to properly calibrate your monitor.
